Certified Medical Cannabis Consultant (CMCC) Training

Approved by the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management

Complete the OCM required 30 hour CMCC training through a blended learning experience that combines live instructor led training, practical consultation exercises, case based learning, documentation practice, and self-paced coursework designed to prepare future CMCC's for success in licensed medical cannabis retail settings.

Training Structure

Lead Instructor 

Charles Jones

Charles Jones is the co-founder of Lauryn House and brings management experience in risk, compliance, and regulated operational oversight to the CMCC training program. His background combines a strong business foundation with policy interpretation, procedure implementation, and compliant execution within structured environments where standards matter.He has also led training development, created training content, and facilitated instruction across both in-person and virtual settings.In the CMCC program, Charles focuses on the training experience, workforce readiness, documentation practices, and the professional standards required for safe and compliant cannabis consultation.
Co-Instructor

Nate Crotteau

Nathan Crotteau is a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Certificate in Public Health Nursing. He brings a clinical, patient centered perspective to the CMCC training program, along with operational insight as a Minnesota cannabis micro-business owner. His background combines healthcare knowledge, public health training, and hands on industry experience to help participants deepen their understanding of consultation safety, applied judgment, and practical cannabis education. As co-instructor, Nate contributes clinical context and practice based insight across clinical foundations, clinical application, and safe consulting practices.
